The present study, through bibliographical research and consultations with renowned international institutions, was dedicated to assessing the trends related to the impacts that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine may produce on the BRICS, considering the current geopolitical context. The geopolitical data registered pointed to a global financial crisis evidenced by high inflation rates in several countries, as an example the highest price rise in more than 70 years in relation to Germany and 40 years in relation to the US. Thus, considering the analyses discussed and the results presented, this study highlights the BRICS as a very active group in relation to the development of its members, with prospects that point both to greater engagement among its own members and between these and other countries that pass through its zones of influence. In addition, the group reveals itself as a very favorable environment for the development of the idea of an economic force resulting from the union of forces of emerging countries independent of the hegemonic influence of the U.S., given that at least two of its major articulators, Russia and China, have strategic interests in the constitution of the "New World Order", either for security-related issues or for issues of economic rivalry.
