This article is the result of a case study about the Serra da Canastra National Park, established in 1972 in Minas Gerais, and its land conflicts. The issue is analyzed from the perspective of biopolitics. The methodology used was bibliographic and documentary research, through the analysis of lawsuit no. 0003407-92.2014.4.01.3804 and the Anthropological Report carried out within the case file. The method for making the work was inductive, and the research has an explanatory character. The conclusion of the research points to the exercise of biopower based on territorial exclusion, resulting in a control of life and death of the canastreiros, the traditional population residing in the Park area.
