Introduction: The X-ray machine was developed from a work of the German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen. The first installation in Brazil was in the city of Formiga, in the state of Minas Gerais in 1897. Since then, X-ray machine have gone through several updates to reduce the scattered radiation and improve the quality of the images obtained. Nowdays, in the professional work in radiology in addition to radiologists, biomedical and technicians and radiology technologists can act, however, there is an archaic argument regarding the performance of biomedical radiodiagnosis, where technicians and technologists compete to withdraw this biomedical qualification. Objective: To analyze the views of the undergraduate students of Biomedicine degree who live in the Midwest region of Minas Gerais, in relation to Imagenology. Methodology: This research was carried out in the Midwest region of Minas Gerais and was attended by 50 undergraduate students from the eighth period of the Biomedicine degree in two universities. The students had to answer a research questionnaire with 15 questions in order to evaluate the expectation, knowledge and interest of the undergraduate students of Biomedicine degree by Imagenology. Results: Of the 50 participants, there was a predominance of females and the mean age was 22.7 years old. In the domain of specific knowledge, we can observe that the undergraduate students presented to have a good development related to Imagenology. The percentage of students’ knowledge about the area of Imagenology was 64% in the two universities. Conclusion: It is believed that the study will contribute to the improvement of the curricular structuring, in order to contribute to a greater performance of Biomedicine in the area of Imagenology.
