Strategies that associate motor and non-motor benefits tend to provide individuals with Parkinson's disease with a higher quality of life, reduced risk of falls, increased motivation and participation in day-to-day activities. Objective: to evaluate the impact of a cognitive and motor training program on the functional performance and quality of life of Parkinsonians. Methods: Six individuals with Parkinson's Disease at the Centro Especializado em Reabilitação III (CER III) of the city of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil and assessed for balance, walking speed and quality of life at the beginning and at the end of the study of the therapeutic program. Results: The approach showed a tendency to maintain the function and to improve the perception of quality of life. Conclusion: Cognitive and motor training performed in a group with Parkinsonians in the CER III provided an improvement in the perception of quality of life under the emphasis of health promotion.
