Programa de fortalecimento e melhoria na qualidade de um hospital

Abstract

Introduction: Administrative, organizational and health care aspects of hospital care have represented important challenges for SUS management. The Program for Strengthening and Improving the Quality of SUS Hospitals (Pro-Hosp) appeared to release financial resources applied in the hospitals of Minas Gerais. Objective: The study aimed to verify economic-financial performance indicators obtained with the implementation of Pro-Hosp in a hospital in a Minas Gerais municipality, in order to measure the efficiency of management. Methods: Methods applied consisted of documentary analysis and application of vertical analytical techniques and indicators of economic and financial performance (2000-2009), and permanent investment by type of resource (2006-2009). Results: The results showed positivity in their availability during the period studied, comparing the average General liquidity of the period prior to the receipt of Pro-Hosp resources with the receiving period of the same. Using the horizontal analysis based on the year 2005, the evolution of Current Assets in 2009 was 190.26%. The average General liquidity of the period prior to the receipt of funds was R$ 0.88, reaching R$ 1.45 upon receipt. However, some indicators showed that short-term debt increased during the period studied. Conclusion: The Pro-Hosp presented potential in improving the financial performance of public health, but this was not enough for the total resolubility of financial demand.
