Systematic review of the sequelae of COVID-19 in mild cases

Introduction: In the city of Wuhan, China, the SARS-CoV-2 virus emerged in December 2019 and the disease was named COVID-19. Individuals with mild illness may experience symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, malaise, headache, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, anosmia, or dysgeusia, but no shortness of breath or abnormal chest images. Objective: The present work analyzed the literature that reported the appearance of different sequelae as a result of Sars-Cov-2 infection, in cases where the symptoms were classified as mild. Methodology: A systematic review of the literature, exploratory and qualitative, was carried out and the search was conducted in the Pubmed, LILACS, MEDLINE and Capes Periodicals databases, using the combination of the following descriptors: consequence AND Sars-Cov AND mild cases. Results and Conclusion:A total of 308 articles were found in the search, and after applying systematic screening methods, 24 works were selected within the pre-established parameters. The main sequelae identified in mild cases as a result of COVID-19 were: neurological, psychological, gustatory, olfactory, gastrointestinal. Such results can help in the creation of protocols for identifying and assisting people, it is relevant and innovative for research as it discusses and synthesizes scientific evidence.
